We created this print to celebrate the official start of Spring in March 2024.

It is a common belief in many cultures that when a dandelion seed head matures and turns into a white structure known as a dandelion clock, blowing on it while making a wish will carry the wish away on the wind. These dandelion seeds are often referred to as parachutes.

This print is part of our overarching series of bear prints. Here, we feature a brown bear sitting, much like many of us would, watching the dandelion seeds float on the wind.

We printed this on handmade paper with banana bark inclusions, giving each print its own unique appearance.

Printing Process

Professional Oil based Ink is applied to the lino block, and then with a Glass Baren, the print is hand burnished.
Each print is inked by hand and unique, so no two prints are the same. Due to this, there can be small colour stains, as well as discrepancies in the ink application and printed image, which makes every print an absolute original.
In terms of colour, different display settings may cause colour deviations from the original colours.
